Hand carved and painted wooden bird sculpture of a Redshank captured in an elegant preening pose and mounted on a wooden plinth.

This beautiful wader can be seen feeding along estuary shorelines singly or in groups forming characteristic noisy roosts in dense flocks at high tide. It uses it's long beak to probe the mud for molluscs and insects.

Made from sustainable wood, each sculpture has a lovely authentic and highly individual character. Each carved bird and base is unique and therefore may vary slightly.

All the birds in this range are designed in the UK by British artists and produced in Bali under fair trading conditions.
