Do your existing entrance doors meet the security requirements demanded by your insurer? Research shows that security is the key concern amongst home owners today, by choosing doors from the internally glazed Goldline range you can have peace of mind knowing that the locking mechanisms fitted, fully comply with the guildlines set by the Association of British Insurers (ABI). Goldline doors have also been advance tested ensuring that they will meet the stringent requirements of the PAS023 / 024 Kitemark standards, which not only tests the security performance of the locks but the whole construction of the door.

Goldline back doors have an easy to operate 'Lever / Lever' lock (See image on right), allowing access from inside or outside when unlocked. To secure the back door after closing lift the handle to engage the rollers and hooks and turn the key in the barrel to throw the deadbolt. Front doors have a lock similar in operation to your current cylinder night latch, due to it's 'Twin Spindle' operation (See image on right). When you close the front door on your way out the only way back in from outside is with a key. To secure the door after exit, lift the pad handle to engage the rollers and hooks, then turn the key in the barrel to throw the deadbolt, for your convenience all front door locks are fitted with a snib as standard to prevent locking yourself out.

Glazing is toughened glass as standad, supplied for safety, for security and safety laminated glass is available as a chargeable option. If any panel is specified this is supplied reinforced with MDP (Medium Density permaboard) for security as standard (See image on right).


Locks for Goldline front and back doors feature two hooks; two rollers and a deadbolt as standard. They are also fitted with a 5 pin anti pick and anti drill cylinder lock and supplied with three keys as standard. There is a choice of front or back door operation, depending on purpose.
Thumbturn barrel lock is available as a chargeable option, allowing all inside locking and unlocking operations to be carried out without a key. Please note with this lock fitted, the door will no longer comply with ABI guidelines or Kitemarks.

Glazing

All doors are internally glazed for added security with a choice of bead designs for a traditional appearence. All glass units are 28mm wide sealed units with an optimum 20mm air gap (with 4mm toughened glass manufactured to BS 6206) are fitted as standard to provide the ultimate in terms of thermal efficency and sound reduction.

Glazing customisation chargeable options include: Laminated, Obscured, Georgian grill, Lead designs and decorative stain and beval patterns. Reinforced panel is also available as a chargeable option.

White or metal coloured adjustable flag hinges as standard (3 per leaf). These are screwed directly into the steel reinforcement for maximum security performance.
Colours available: White, Black, Gold, Chrome, Caramel, Brown.

Handles

As standard, White doors are fitted with white handles, woodgrain finsh doors are fitted with Anodised gold handles. Other handle finishes are chargeable options.



Letter Boxes and Cat Flaps

A letter box may be factory fitted in a door or sidelight mid-rail as an optional extra. It can also be fitted to a sealed unit if required. You have a choice of Gloss White, Matt Black, Polished or Anodised Gold or Silver.


Technical Details

Reinforced according to manufacturer's guidelines, with hot dipped galvanised steel for added strength and security.

90° restrictor stay located at the top of the door can be specified as a chargeable option.

Positioned right is our standard threshold detail fixed to a 30mm cill. Positioned left is the alternative low threshold cill, this is a chargeable option and may also be fixed to the 30mm cill.

French Doors

French doors have featured in British homes for many years and are becomming the fashionable choice one again. Unlike patio doors they allow the full width to be opened. Goldline French doors are supplied as standard internally glazed with 26mm toughened safety glass sealed units, and are available in a choice of Glass White, Golden Oak, Mahogany, Golden Oak on White and Mahogany on White finishes.

The balanced handle French doors have two shootbolts, two rollers and a deadbolt on the master door.

In-Line Patio Doors

For safety and comfort in-line patio doors are glazed with 28mm toughened saftey glass sealed units. Optional extras include an external operating handle with cylinder lock and if the door is to be situated in a porch, a mid-rail with letter box can be specified. These doors are available in Gloss White, Golden Oak, Mahogany, Golden Oak on White, Mahogany on White finishes.

Tilt and Slide Patio Doors

Based on the continental design Goldline tilt and slide patio doors have the advantage of an opening pane that can tilt inward for ventilation as well as sliding back for normal use. As standard these doors are supplied internally glazed, operate only from an inside handle and have a minimum of 10 locking points. An external handle is available as a chargeable option.
