Seaside Square is made up from an assortment of driftwood planks and pieces and Lizzie has painted and structured it so as to create a seaside scene. The resulting square is perfect for the scene: Rows of assorted houses, shops and buildings running down to a stripe of blue sea and bright bobbing boats. This piece is painted in mixed media and acrylic inks and finished with a coat of matt varnish.

Lizzie Spikes lives, works and walks on the beautiful West coast of Wales. She creates her paintings on canvases fashioned from the flotsam and jetsam found washed up on the beaches of Ceredigion.
